Protective effect of daidzein on ovarian ischemia‑reperfusion injury in rats

Purpose: In this study, our aim was to investigate the potential effects of strong antioxidant daidzein (DZ) on ovarian ischemia and reperfusion injury.
 Materials Methods: A total 42 female Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into seven groups. For experimental model, clamps removed after 3 hours ischemia, blood flow provided again. Then, process terminated for hours. Daidzein orally administered animals at doses 35 70 mg/kg 30 minutes before (I) (I/R) procedures.
 Results: Severe immunoreactivity IL-1β, IL-6 Caspase-3 detected in I I/R Moderate I+DZ35 I/R+DZ35 groups, slightly positivity I+DZ70 I/R+DZ70 The SOD activity level increased groups treated with Daidzein, while MDA levels decreased. addition, hemorrhage areas inflammatory cell migration decreased when compared group a dose dependent manner.
 Conclusion: has protective role treatment ischemia-reperfusion injury can be used as therapeutic agent.
